Article Withdrawal Polciy
The Interplanetary Journal maintains a strict and transparent withdrawal policy aligned with international publication ethics standards, including those recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors submitting manuscripts grant the journal exclusive rights for first publication, and withdrawal requests must follow a responsible and ethical protocol.
Withdrawal Policy Highlights:
-
Right of First Publication: Authors grant exclusive publication rights upon submission. Withdrawal requests after peer review or acceptance are taken seriously and require strict adherence to process.
-
Withdrawal Request Procedure: Only the corresponding author may submit a withdrawal request, supported by a signed declaration from all co-authors stating the reason for withdrawal, sent directly to the Interplanetary Journal’s editorial office. Approval from the Editor-in-Chief is required before confirmation. Resubmitting elsewhere without approval constitutes unethical behavior.
-
Partial APC Charges: If withdrawal occurs post-peer review or provisional acceptance, authors pay 50% of the Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover incurred editorial costs.
-
Unethical Non-Response: Ignoring editorial communications after acceptance is treated as unethical withdrawal.
-
Consequences: Unethical withdrawals may lead to submission bans up to 5 years, institutional notifications, reporting to indexing services, and escalation to COPE.
-
Commitment: The Interplanetary Journal adheres to COPE guidelines promoting ethical publishing and responsible authorship.
This policy ensures integrity, fairness, and professionalism throughout the publication process. Authors and readers are encouraged to refer to the official editorial office for guidance and clarification.
